NEW ART ALERT!! Yong Fei Guan’s seven foot tall golden pig made from plastic debris is at Eastwood Community League! The pig is a positive symbol for a year of good fortune and luck. According to Yong Fei Guan, it celebrates waste: its beauty and grotesquerie. The golden pig is waiting for spring in the community league before being on full display in the gardens. Follow along with the Eastwood Community League to learn more about when the pig will re-enter the wilderness.... This art installation will surely not be a boar!! We love our partners here at Arts on The Ave! Canadian National (CN) Canadian National Railway Company railway played a huge role in transporting the Love Your Bean, The Meeting, and Walking Figures sculptures from Vancouver Biennale to 118th Ave. We want to give a huge thank you to James Thompson, Vice President of Western Region, CN Railway, for visiting Albert Ave this week to check out the sculptures! The sculptures look awesome in the snow Vancouver Biennale... Canadian National Railway Company #vanbiennale #vancouverbiennale #loveyourbean #themeeting #albertaave
