She has a big appetite, loves to play, and for some reason only has half a tail! She is sociable and friendly. Pebbles gets along with dogs, cats, and we think she will be fine with kids. Two beautiful new faces are now available for adoption! Both cats are being fostered (separately) in Edmonton. Evie (tabby) is 16 and is the quirkiest little love bug. She enjoys looking at herself in the mirror, moving her water dish around just to confuse you, and talking to you in her very distinct and unusual meow. She’d like to be your only pet. He figured out his leash in no time and now he loves going for walks. He’s also very friendly and if it were up to him you’d be petting him all the time. Oreo has no other animals in his foster home, but we were told that he has previously lived with dogs, cats, and kids quite happily. Meet the ARTS adoptables! This album is updated daily. Our animals are in foster homes located in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, and their surrounding areas. We allow out of province adoptions but require the adopter to come in person to meet the animal in their foster home. Dog adoption fees are $260, and cats are $100. We adopt based on the best fit for the animal and not on a first come first serve basis. However, we do stop accepting applications for an animal after we hav...e received 10 or so applications. This allows our adoption team to process the applications and contact people. During our busy time or for popular animals we advise people that it could take up to two weeks to receive a response to your adoption application. We thank you for your patience! The animals at the end of the photo album may be listed as on Medical Hold, Closed for Applications, or Pending Adoption. We kindly ask that you do not submit an application for those animals at this time. Please click on the individual photo to see a link to that animal's bio and personal photo album. Each picture will also have a link to our adoption application and further information about our adoption process.

Eli is now available for adoption!! He’s definitely here to steal your heart. He is endlessly patient with his boys and very content to soak in some rays and give his adults some quiet company. Eli still has a few more medical procedures that need to be done, mainly a dental, but then he will be ready to go to his new home. We are happy to start the adoption process now so that he can go straight to his forever family afterwards. Eli is being fostered in Calgary. He is an older gentleman, around 15-17, and is diabetic. Scamp is a senior looking for a home! He is super playful and is always happy for a romp. He does have some specific requests regarding his playmates (big females only), but he more than makes up for it with his character. Scamp is being fostered in Bluffton, which is between Edmonton and Red Deer. We welcome applications from anywhere as long as the adopter and their household are willing to come meet Scamp in person. Four new faces have joined our rescue this week. Dexter the dog, Gemmi the calico cat, and Mitzi and Molly our grey and white bonded pair. We are excited to get to know these sweet seniors . Please note that they are not available for adoption yet.

We are so excited to announce Bea as adopted, pictured here with her new sister and best friend Jazzabelle. Bea came to us completely terrified of humans. It took an amazing foster home and help from a trainer to get Bea in the house, and eventually comfortable with her foster mom. She was still scared and strangers were a no for Bea, so we knew finding her the right adopter would be a challenge. We needed someone who was willing to spend several months working with Bea and... getting her to feel safe before she could even be adopted. And now look where Bea is! Cozy in her new home with her sister and a family that has been incredibly patient with her. Congrats to Bea and her new family

Tessa has received multiple applications all thanks TO YOU! We truly have some of the best followers ever. If it wasn’t for your shares, she would have gone unseen for many more months. Now we are hoping for a little more magic to help find our trio a home. They are 11 year old siblings who have only ever known each other. They are good with other other cats and untested with dogs, but we don’t expect it to be an issue at all. They are heathy aside from Louie who needs a onc...e daily pill (easy to do- he loves food). He came to us after living outside on a chain, but he has adapted to inside living and he now loves all things soft and comfortable. He’s an active senior who would do well in an adult only home or a home with teenagers in it so he has someone to play tug-o-war with. Scamp is okay with big female dogs, but no other types of dogs or small animals ...please. He is being fostered in Bluffton, AB. Mako here, I’m a new ARTS intake, nice to meet you! I’m an 8 year old female being fostered in Calgary. I logged on to talk to you about something even better than belly rubs. You see I heard a rumour that the humans are raffling off something called a massage chair, whatever that is. They say the proceeds go towards filling my belly up with delicious food and paying the doctors to make sure I feel good. Is $5 the same as 5 snacks?
