Before you call for service..... Please take a moment grab your pen and paper and write down a little bit of information. If you are looking at a water heater there is a rating plate, about 3/4 the way up on the side of the tank. On this rating plate there is a Make, Model and Serial Number. This information is very important to your plumber. It tells us the brand, the size, and the age of your water heater. When you call and tell us you what is wrong we can often bring p...arts or even a new tank based on this information saving everyone time and money. If you have a faucet that is leaking please us know what type of faucet that is leaking. Is it a moen, a groehe or whatever? Do you own a smart phone? You know a picture is worth a thousand words. We have amazing staff who are able to help track down information before we ever get to a call that again saving you time and money. Furnaces again, they have a Brand, model and serial. We know not everyone is comfortable pulling the cover off to find the model or serial number. When the technician is there ask him to give you that information and keep it with your important information. So next time you need it you have it handy. We do write it down too but it helps if you remind us what you own. At the start of the call if you take the time to give us the information to make things go faster then we will do our best to make it go faster and save you whenever possible.

Toilets Are Not Trashcans...... Just because the package says it is flushable, doesnt mean you should be shoving it down a toilet. Managers of Water and Waste Services, says items such as disposable wipes, feminine hygiene products and paper towels are plugging up sewage pumps more often than in the past.... They says items described as "flushable" usually arent. We also need to remember not to flush Fats, oils and greases and unused pharmaceuticals as these get into our drinking water. A backflow prevention device is used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow. In water supply systems, water is normally maintained at a significant pressure to enable water to flow from the tap, shower, or other fixture A back flow device needs to be tested yearly to ensure that they are still protecting our domestic water supply. Lets talk about soap. When you wash your hands at work and you use gritty soap in a work shop you need to really run the water. Failure to do so will result in the plumbing getting very clogged up with the material that is used to scrub your hands. So for those that use this type of material in their shops, to avoid costly repairs or service calls, either use a scrub brush and traditional soap or run more water and let it run a bit longer after to flush the lines.
