We’re grateful for any support we can get and security is high on our list of priorities to be able to keep the families that come to us safe and supported and we’re delighted we’ll be able to use this money for that," Kadatz added.

As more domestic violence victims apply for protection orders during COVID-19, Edmonton has seen a 10% increase of emergency protection order applications. At A Safe Place, our victim advocate will assist you with any legal issues that you may have. They will also work with you and determine if a protection order is needed. They will accompany you to any court appointments and provide you with information about victim restitution.
