We put a call out for Easter treats & crafts this week, and Rose was over the moon when Val and her girls; Macy, Rachel, Tessa dropped by to answer that call earlier this afternoon. Many thanks ladies. #gratitude #donations #kindness #eastergifts #ASafePlace #Strathco #ShPk #YEG #fortsask
At home, and abroad, stories continue to emerge of powerful survivors who lead a global effort to end gender based violence. This #fearlessfriday, we share Margarita Gracheva's story of survival, and redemption. For those among us who've walked in the shadow of domestic violence, do you feel safe sharing your story? #ASafePlace #WomensShelter #genderbasedviolence #domesticabuse #domesticviolencesurvivor #domesticabuseawareness #ShPk #Strathco #FortSask #YEG

We want to extend a huge thank you to FortisAlberta and their Sherwood Park office for their generous donation to A Safe Place. We are so grateful and so thankful for your support!
It has been a lean and difficult year for us with fundraising and donations coming in. We’re grateful for any support we can get and security is high on our list of priorities to be able to keep the families that come to us safe and supported and we’re delighted we’ll be able to use this money for that," Kadatz added.
It's that time of the year again! Tree of Hope starts today! If you're in the Sherwood Park Mall, please come and say hi to our amazing volunteers! Covid-19 safety measures and procedures have been put in place in order to keep everyone safe. Thank you for your ongoing support of A Safe Place!
As more domestic violence victims apply for protection orders during COVID-19, Edmonton has seen a 10% increase of emergency protection order applications. At A Safe Place, our victim advocate will assist you with any legal issues that you may have. They will also work with you and determine if a protection order is needed. They will accompany you to any court appointments and provide you with information about victim restitution. For more information about our victim advocate services or other services we provide, please call 780-464-7233.
We're so grateful for your generous support!
