Ascended Wood Co. 12.11.2020

The bookshelf is ready to rock! Thanks everyone who followed along with the build. Really happy with the end result! If you are interested in seeing the whole build pop on over to my instagram page and hit the "bookshelf" highlight. I give a brief overview of most of the stuff that went into this build . I really enjoyed giving a little behind the scenes action and definitely going to do it again! It was my first attempt doing something like this, but I already have some new... ideas to help improve the content that I will be putting out! So definitely stay tuned The final dimensions ended up being 6' tall, 26" wide, and 9" deep. The materials that went into this bookshelf consisted of: (2) 2"x10"x8' SPF (1) 5/8"x10.5"x8' MDF If you have any questions, suggestions or improvements, definitely leave a comment down below. I am always accepting of positive criticism

I don't know what it is about hexagon shapes but I love them! They always turn out better than I expect. - These specific ones will be headed off to @honeybeetattoo.co and in the hands of @bijoupiercing to help show off some of their jewelry. If you swipe you can see a little taste - This set is definitely unique. The larger 6" ones were doubled up to add a little extra pop, while the 4" are standard. They are finished with a @minwaxcanada polyurethane to give a nice smo...oth finish with a little bit of shine! It's really brings out the unique definition of the wood grain. - I will be doing a step by step guide on how to cut these hexagons using a chop saw and table saw in the upcoming weeks. So definitely stay tuned! For now follow along @ascendedwoodco - Also I am looking for some more #scrapwood projects. If you have some ideas definitely drop them in down below! @ Saskatoon, Saskatchewan See more

From here on out, I'm going to try something new! I want to take you guys along with me in my #diy journey. Each project I build, I'm going to try my best to give a step by step break down from start to finish. I'm going to show you the high points and even the low points (all the stupid mistakes I make on the way). - This is all going to be featured on my story. I will also have an individual highlight on my profile for each specific product we build! Our first project will ...be a small bookshelf. - The bookshelf is made out of two 2x10s. The dimensions will be 6' tall and 2' wide in the end. The shelves will be made out of some left over MDF I had lying around and they will be painted white while the frame will be stained with a nice light brown. - My tool collection isn't overly large so most of my projects aren't that complicated and use very basic materials. Most of these projects will be able to be crushed out by most #weekendwarriors - If you guys have any questions on any of the builds, please dont be shy! Send me a message and I will answer it to the best of my ability - For now follow along @ascendedwoodco and let's get building See more

It has been a minute since I've built one of these #toddlertowers. I started my woodworking journey building these guys and they are the reason my tool collection is what it is today! - I ended up building so many over the last year that it completely turned into another chore and dreaded building them. But I took a few months off from building them and I actually enjoyed building this guy! - These towers are 32" tall and 17" wide. They have three adjustable heights so your... toddler can grow with it. I also designed a small slide out step to help prevent those late night toe stubbings . - I initially built this tower for my daughter and let me tell you, it has been such a life-saver in the kitchen. It allows for a much safer environment where your child can help you out and feel apart of the activities in the kitchen . - I think I am going to attempt to make some official plans for anyone who is interested in building one of these . And I'll be giving them away for FREE! So definitely follow along and I'll try and get those plans out over the next couple of weeks! - What was your first successful woodworking product?? @ Saskatoon, Saskatchewan See more

Delivered these puppies today! I initially had no idea on how to mix in the colours so I took a shot with some random geometric patterns. I'm thinking I made the right choice - These will be on display at @cahc.health for the next upcoming week! Its for a friend and family event, so If you are already a patient of the clinic and or have the right connections you can definitely get your name in to win these . - I have to shout out @philip_or_flop for the geometric inspiration. He made some boards a few week back in a similiar style! @ Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
