Day 299 of Dr Emily’s yoga challenge. Tonight I chose 5 Minute stretch at your desk shoulder and neck release with Yoga Dose. This is a great short little practice- perfect for desk workers! I had a sore neck and upper back today so this was perfect. Some moves may be challenging if you have any shoulder impingement so go easy on the overhead ark raises if you do. Day 297 of Dr Emily’s yoga challenge. Tonight I chose Yoga to let go and unwind (hips & glutes) with Yoginimelbourne aka Paula Lay Yoga. This was a slow practice with long holds and lots of breathing. I haven’t done a lizard pose like this in a long time! Considering I lifted weights yesterday (finally back to my pre-pandemic max weight for deadlifts!) and had an 11 hour shift at work today I really needed this. Day 296 of Dr Emily’s yoga challenge. Tonight I chose Experience vinyasa yoga on the floor: 17 minutes of asana and meditation with Dianne Bondy Yoga. This is a great class for anyone who’s wrists or feet are sore bc you’re on the ground the whole time! It’s a bit more fitness/core inspired but still a great practice. The leg/ab lifts I had to modify to bent knees for my low back, but as usual, she offers lots of alternatives.
