Ashburn’s Old Course is among the most historic golf courses in Canada. Crafted under the watchful eye of Stanley Thompson, the architect known for his work at St. George’s in Toronto, Highlands Links in Cape Breton, and Alberta’s great mountain coursesBanff and JasperAshburn is a throwback to another era. As was his custom, Thompson utilized the naturally rolling landscape to create a course with great vistas and challenging holes. Over the past two years the greens and bu...nkers at our Old Course were rebuilt for the modern game, under the guidance of architect, Ian Andrew one of Canada’s most noted golf designers. Known for his work on Thompson courses, Ian believes that restoration is about putting back what was actually built, not what you think they might have done if given another opportunity to return. On June 9th, the full 18 restored holes reopened for play. Ashburn trustee, and lifetime member, Harold Crosby hit the very first shot off #1 white tee. It was a beautiful day to celebrate the next chapter in Ashburn’s story.

The 2020 season will be one to remember! Thank you to our members for their support and patience. We look forward to welcoming you back to both courses next year.
