#belletstalk There’s controversy over Bell Let’s Talk day (there’s controversy over everything really). Do I like Bell as a company? Not really. Do I think they use mental illness as a way to advertise their business? Not really. Would I take every opportunity to fundraise and bring awareness to a cause that needs it? Absolutely. It’s been a year. And it’s only been 28 days. Lockdown round 2 has showed me a whole new level of depression, and even less motivation than the fir...st time round (if even possible). I question daily if I like what I’m doing, if I’m doing a good job, and if I should just quit it all. There is no motiovational point here, just an honest person behind a social media post reminding people that you are not alone, and others feel the same you do. People you look up to struggle with the same things you do. Every story is different, every life is different, every mental illness is a little bit different. To those ready to quit, I beg of you to keep going. Because one day you will look back at this moment and be so dang proud of yourself for continuing. Ending sappy post here: talk to you doctor, take your medication, talk to your friends, your mum, your family. Talk to me. Just don’t give up #bellletstalk

remember what summer felt like? me neither. BUT I do remember this magical night with Heidi - a storm past through that night, and the sunset was one of the most gorgeous I had seen in a while

Merry Christmas! Christmas is my favourite time of year. While it was different this year, my favourite holiday came and went with smiles, endless love, and beautiful memories. I'm sure all small business owners, especially photographers, can all relate to Christmas burnout. I've done it to myself year after year after year. It seems the world is telling me to slow down again. Lockdown round 2, here we come. And yet, it's come at a much needed time. I've still got edits up...on edits to finish up, websites to update, and client gifts to send out. I am so thankful to have had a few days to slow down and enjoy time with family and my pups. I completely shut down - a first in a long time that I didn't answer emails, check Instagram, or touch my computer for more than 24 hours. Most of all, I am so thankful for my clients who have been supportive and patient with me this year. In a year that was full of ups and downs, the support you all have given me has kept me going Getting back to emails and messages, edits, and posting tonight + tomorrow. Until next time, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
