I don’t often draw people but the person I drew this portrait for was worth taking on the challenge. She is one of the kindest people I know and I’m so grateful for all that she does to make the world a better, more positive place. Happy Birthday, Ellen! Well, it’s been quite sometime since I’ve posted here and I thought everyone should know why I haven’t been creating and drawing all too much. Five and a half years ago, I was in a car accident that changed everything for me. Since my accident, I now suffer with whiplash injury, chronic headaches, and muscle pain. Drawing and creating art has always been a passion of mine, especially when it brings joy to the lives of the people I create my art for. Since my accident, drawing... has been difficult for me and at times, painful for me, especially in the cold winter months. Despite my injury, my hopes is for this coming year to be a year that I take on more commission work, challenge myself as an artist, and to create art more for myself. For those of you that have messaged me about commission work, I am sorry for lack of response as bringing myself to message back to say that I couldn’t draw a portrait was something I couldn’t bring myself to do. I will be touching base with those that have messaged and will be open to taking on commissions in the new year. See more
