I've been dreaming of doing yoga in the summer, when I can be outside and still breathe comfortably... . . Until then, we'll stay warm inside as we do yoga together with the upcoming virtual yoga session! ... Beginning next week, you can relax every Tuesday and Thursday evenings with these classes: . . CHAKRA SERIES - GENTLE FLOW 7 week session | February 16 March 30 Tuesday evenings | 5:45 - 6:45 pm A peaceful, flowing practice to intentionally connect with each of the 7 main chakras within your body. Set your intention to bring balance to the spinning wheels with soulful movement through the series, as your yoga practice brings awareness and nurturing to the energy centres within you. The chakras are the 7 main energy centres of the body that house the flow of energy within you. If a chakra is blocked, it can affect the balance and flow of energy, influencing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual subtleties. Through the series, you will connect with the individual chakra characteristics, where it is located in the physical body, and ways that you can bring supportive balance within. Intentional movement accompanied by breathwork, Mudras, and Mantras to create harmony and ease within the mind, body, and soul. No experience necessary, every body welcome. DEEP RELAXATION - RESTORATIVE YOGA 6 week session | February 18 March 25 Thursday evenings | 6:45 - 7:45 pm A soothing, meditative restorative yoga practice with comfortable poses and lots of props. These sessions are a time to completely relax the physical body and quiet the mind. Find comfort and peace within the stillness as you rest and nurture through self-care. Restorative yoga helps bring a physical and mental balance to release tension, as well as prevent and relieve stress and anxiety. Through the use of props which allow you to hold poses longer, this practice gives you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching. No yoga experience necessary, every body welcome.
