Please Note - our school's awards celebration, originally scheduled for Thursday, November 14th at 2:00 pm has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 28th at 2:...00 pm. IMPORTANT Notice of Public Meetings CHANGE OF LOCATION November 4... Given the recent serious safety concern, there will be parent and community information meetings held this evening. Rather than holding one meeting at Ashmont School, a decision was made to hold two community meetings: 5:00 pm - Meeting to be held in Saddle Lake Cree Nation at Kihew Asiniy Education Center Gym 7:30 pm - Meeting to be held in Whitefish Lake First Nation at Pakan School Gym St. Paul School Division Superintendent Glen Brodziak will be attendance to answer questions and address concerns. RCMP will be attending both meetings to provide additional information.

We have been informed RCMP will be providing on-site supervision in the morning. Additionally, we will have our doors locked and monitored throughout the day.

Sunday, November 3, 2019 Today at approximately 1 PM we were made aware of a possible verbal threat made by an individual, which involved Ashmont School. RCMP were immediately notified to investigate. ... At 4:15 PM today, the RCMP informed us that they have investigated and determined there is no immediate danger to students and staff at Ashmont School. While we are confident in the investigation of the RCMP, we will have increased supervision tomorrow to ensure that our students feel safe. The safety and well-being of our students and staff is a top priority at all times. As parents, we always want information about anything that affects our children. Please know we are committed to providing the most accurate and timely information possible and rest assured you will be notified if the situation changes.
