Spacegirl - a fun vignette using good old Spheri from the early days of the @proedututorials course. I'm about to ramble, but thanks for following me on this artist journey, I love learning more and more about the motion design world, sharing here is partially a "check out what I'm doing" and partially a personal journal of sorts, so I can see where my work is heading. CGI has really changed the way I work, and play. I've found it's often a better way of communicating certai...n things, and give me some more time and I'll have a more solid base to be able to make what's trapped in my head. The nicest thing about it is just it's pure unbridled creativity. I mean that. Anything can be created in CGI (and something's don't need to be - another topic for another day). This means a broad array of artistic opportunity. That's a scary thing. It's easy to be distracted, or worse completely consumed by minutiae. To combat this I have segmented my learning based on what I desire to create. Goals & creative endeavors really do go hand in hand. Maybe I need to start blogging again as I prattle on here. This image always makes me happy. In black and white it takes you a little longer to identify the comedy elements. I've been really scratching my head about IG. Do I use it as an extension on my site ashmurrell.com? Is it a secondary portfolio? Purely BTS? None of those felt natural or quite frankly fun.... Then it hit me. Use IG as an experimental area. The shit that gets dropped here might have nothing to do with my company. If I do happen to put a work piece up it'll probably have BTS stacked behind it.
