Asian Fusion Weddings

I started in the wedding industry by "accident". Years ago, I found an ad that advertised a bridal salon was closing down and selling off their inventory. It turns out that their matriarch of the family and the business had passed away from breast cancer. The mountains of gown came home with me and filled our living from wall to wall, ceiling to floor. I was eventually able to sell off the inventory and donate gowns as well.... I've never forgotten how my start in the industry came about and continue to support breast cancer awareness. This is a hard thing for everyone involved - weddings fuel the economy but what if it causes some to die?

There is definitely a bigger picture that needs to be considered...I wonder how many people are going to be hospitalized because of this wedding.

If we haven't started thinking about pacing ourselves during this pandemic like a 2 year marathon - I think we all need to refocus a bit about how we are coping.... Someone asked how I have been managing my stress levels. Here's what I do to bring back or spark some joy in my life: 1) Diamonds - yep, there's nothing better than looking at sparkly things all day long. If you know someone that is thinking about giving these beauties as gifts, please let me know. I've got an array of importers, wholesalers and diamond dealers at my fingers tips. I recently helped a groom with his purchase and she said YES!!! 2) Weekly focus - I don't focus too far ahead any more. I take things one week at a time. Since I cannot plan any major trips, there's no use stressing or complaining about it. So, I just get my list of things done for that specific week and it feels great!! 3) Creation and design - boy do I miss designing and planning weddings right now. So, I've refocused my energies and making custom, made to measure masks. The big scale weddings will come back, but just not at the moment. This is a great time to design other things and help people along the way. 4) Curiosity - now that I have some quiet time, I can delve into some other things and LEARN some other things. I believe internal curiosity is one way of NOT being buried under stress these days because there is something that is positive that I can divert my energies in to. It's something to look forward to. 5) Rest - there comes a point in time when I'm tired and need a break. This is where all my binge Netflix documentaries comes in handy. Anybody else have a game plan for the next while?

There's something to be said about a mother and daughter's relationship!!

We are establishing protocols, procedures, policies, vetting vendors, etc. etc. In this day and age of this ongoing pandemic, one can never be too cautious. Don't forget, you are celebrating with your most intimate of family and friends. We're sure you don't want to find out that someone got sick from your wedding or event right?
