Mouflon and Chamois in Spain: We are excited to offer more species to our hunting operation and we can now organise quality mountain hunts for two species of chamois and mouflon in Spain. These are physically challenging free range mountain hunts with incredible scenery and friendly local guides. These species are all quite affordable, certainly not as expensive as other sheep hunts and would be a great option to kick off your international sheep hunting career or to simply ...go visit a new destination. Mouflon have incredible eyesight, are always very alert and every trophy taken will be well earned. Chamois are similar and always occupy challenging terrain ensuring hunters will need to be quite fit to get the best out of their hunt. There will be no medal classes or inch fees involved with this hunt meaning the hunt costs will be the same no matter what size animals are harvested. There has been very little hunting pressure in this virgin region making for excellent hunting opportunities for all species. Whilst Spain is not currently open to hunting, we believe any hunters who book and get in early will certainly have fantastic hunts when the borders open up. It will happen soon enough and hunters will be able to fly into this safe destination. Following on from yesterday post regarding giant rams that are still alive in our Tajikistan Marco Polo area, here’s another monster that Ricardo was able to get pictures of at long range. This ram drops quite low below the jaw line and curls tight before flaring out. He is a dream trophy for many hunters and his picture was taken less then two weeks ago. We do have a couple openings for this region in Tajikistan along with other hunt availabilities across Asia so if you ar...e in a position to hunt this season please contact us. We believe it’s a great window of opportunity for any hunters who can capitalise on what’s been a challenging year for many and get themselves over to hunt. Ricardo looked over a lot of rams on his recent Tajikistan combination hunt including a few sheep that were in the 58 plus size. This group of rams are well camouflaged on the steep hillside but there is no denying that big ram in the middle is a giant. He is at least 59 with superb style and deep curls and is still alive in our Marco Polo hunting region. For any hunters who are in a position to get over to Asia this year we do have some vacancies for a number of species including two Marco Polo openings that can be taken between December 10th and February 28th. Being familiar with your rifle and your abilities over a wide range of distances in varying terrain will certainly help you achieve success on any Asian hunt. We have had many past hunters miss big trophies for different reasons so we cannot stress how important it is to really know your rifle and ballistics and be confident in your set up. Ricardo used a .7mm Magnum on his recent Tajikistan hunt and a perfect shot secured the 59 trophy. In the video you will hear Ricardo ...take a couple deep breaths to settle down before squeezing a round off. If you practice enough at the range, keep things simple and follow the same routine prior to taking a shot then it will all become second nature when you are in the field and it’s crunch time on a big trophy. Ricardo made it count when he needed to and his dream ram became reality with a well placed bullet at 400 yards.
