Home Suite Hope’s Homeward Bound Halton program is an up to four-year program that begins with stabilizing a single parent-led family, who is homeless or precar...iously housed. In its second and third years, the parent attends Sheridan College to obtain a diploma and in its final year, the parent is supported through their job search and start of employment. Homeward Bound Halton is based on the model first operated in Canada by WoodGreen Community Services. A study earlier this year by WoodGreen Community Services and Constellation Consulting Group, LLC, estimated the Social Return on Investment (SROI) is $6 for every dollar invested in Homeward Bound Halton - including the public monetary value of helping single parents exit the shelter system and social assistance.
