Unprecedented victory for animals in Canada! Bill C-84, the Bestiality and Animal Fighting Bill, has officially passed! In brief, Bill C-84 accomplishes two sim...ple things: Bestiality is any contact for a sexual purpose between a person and an animal. This bill closes a loophole opened through a Supreme Court of Canada decision which interpreted the offence of bestiality to require penetration. It also makes it illegal to breed or train animals to fight, to own or provide a fighting area or to profit from animal fighting. Bill C-84 is broadly supported by the animal welfare sector, the agriculture sector and veterinarians. THANK you to the key players who ensured this bill passed swiftly
