Happy Thanksgiving to all. We sincerely hope you’ll spend some safe quality time with close family and friends, and to pause and reflect on all your blessings.

A very thought provoking piece. Some things are bigger than sports. It’s a good time for everyone to pause and reflect on how we can all be better.

The Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association will be able to help a whole lot more kids with special needs thanks to a $5,000 donation that was made to the organization today by ASSIST. The Essex area association runs a variety of equine assisted programs to help people with orthopedic, neurological, medical and psychological problems. Nearly 200 persons with special needs receive therapy at WETRA each week. About 80 percent of those who are enrolled in the program are children who have developmental, emotional or physical disabilities. We are thrilled to be able to help such an excellent organization. Sincere thanks to everyone who has donated to our program over the years so that we can fulfill our mission!

Given the present circumstances, our Dodgeball tournament has been postponed. We'll let you know as soon as we have a new date. In the meantime, stay healthy, stay safe, and stay home if you can.

Good on MP Brian Masse for stepping up with Nantais Athletics to help grow the great game of baseball. We’ve been supporting Windsor West players for years and it’s always nice to see Brian on opening day. If you’d like to donate equipment, you can bring it to the Nantais store on Tecumseh West or to Brian’s Ouellette Ave office.

A dedicated hockey Dad who got to see his boys play together one last time. A caring coach who went above and beyond and a community that rallied around. And a trip of a lifetime to boot. What a beautiful story about family, love, community and how our national game brings out the best in people.
