In honouring the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, AYSP reflects on and commemorates the lives of the lost children and survivors of residential schools, and the profound impact it continues to have on Indigenous families and communities. In acknowledging this tragic history, AYSP devotes this day to study, learn, listen, and act in subservience to the requests and needs of Indigenous communities. Through a supportive social network and culturally appropriate programs and services, Indigenous peoples will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen a sense of community in Mississauga.
