We believe that how you do one thing is how you do everything. That's why we put everything we have into everything we do - even a simple service cleaning of our customers' gas detectors. We do the little bit extra in cleaning so that the monitor looks 'almost' brand new when it is returned to the customer.
Big shout out to Gary Morrison and the Metiskow Ag Society for hosting grain entrapment rescue training (BeGrainSafe) for local fire fighters this past weekend. Great to see another safety resource for our local communities. Astec Safety - Provost was glad to be able to help cover a portion of the hot lunches provided to participants both days.
[Standard First Aid] Two day training set for Monday Aug 10th and Tues Aug 11th at our Provost Training Center. More information and registration can be found here: https://www.bistrainer.com/index.cfm
The calm before the training begins. Our newly refreshed classroom, set up and ready to go for another St. Johns Ambulance standard first aid course. Everything thoroughly sanitized, and chairs appropriately spaced.
Basic Firefighting course underway at our training center this Monday morning. Next scheduled Basic Firefighting course is set for August 21. More information and registration can be found here: https://www.bistrainer.com/index.cfm
So many of our customers want the option and leverage to have multiple, if not all, team members certified and trained to operate the forklift. Forklift Operation is a one day/6 hour course - contact us for enrollment options.
Our course calendar is often requested and we're happy to ensure it's always live, up-to-date, and available to view at all times. Our training courses can sometimes be on location, at our training space, or even online. See course calendar at this link: https://www.bistrainer.com/index.cfm
It's a great feeling to get back to assisting all our great customers and communities with their safety needs. Here's our seasoned technician Ray working on a SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus). After Ray refills the cylinder with breathing air and preps the unit it will be ready for flow testing by our senior technician, Ron. A common service we perform for our clients and customers - flow testing is a critical procedure that proofs and certifies the equipment will ...function correctly and provide safe breathing air on demand. Contact us today to ask us any questions you may have about SCBAs, flow testing, or any other safety related resources.
Now more than ever we need to shop local and support our community. Our businesses have taken on debt to get through this pandemic... they have a long road ahe...ad. Please support and spread awareness. If you get great service - post it! If you bought something super cool - post it! Invite others to shop there as well. Buy gift certificates for birthday gifts, anniversaries, etc. Keep your money in town. We need to stay strong as a community! Do your very best to help our community - and that is by buying local. Give a business a shout out now on this post. We love to spread awareness... and our page has lots of likes - so it will be visible.
We can help you register to take this online ground disturbance course. Just give us a call!
A quick note to let everyone know we will be offering safety training in June. See photo for specific courses.
Excellent option for any safety training you may need.
In response to the economic slowdown caused by the COVID19 virus and the dramatic drop in oil prices, the Astec Safety - Provost team has decided to reduce the hours our business will be open during the week. This reduction along with some staff layoffs will help us reduce our costs, so that we will be here to support your safety training and service needs as our economy rebounds. If you need safety services or products call us!! See poster below.
The message on our sign board was authored by our Roxy Ganser! I wanted to share it with everyone as I believe that if we stay united as families, businesses and communities that this challenge (Covid-19) to will pass!
Just wanted to let everyone know about an option now available for you to take for the first time or re-certify the safety certificates you may need or have. ASTEC SAFETY has converted our traditional classroom safety courses to make them available to our customers via a "Virtual Classroom" model, where students can attend a classroom course via their computer, Chromebook or Tablet PC through the internet, from home, or their place of work in a safe environment, with no exte...rnal human contact required. The available ASTEC courses are Confined Space Entry & Monitor - Confined Space Rescue - Fall Protection - Basic Fire Fighting - Gas Detection - Forklift Safe Operations - Skid Steer Safe Operations and available soon Ground Disturbance 201. I assure you that ASTEC SAFETY will be here for you and for our community. Our entire TEAM joins together to thank you for your commitment to service to our community. Should you have any questions on content, process, or bookings, please call 780-753-2905 (Provost) or 780-875-0331 (Lloydminster). For every course purchased thru our office in the month of April 2020 we will be donating FIVE pounds of food to the Provost Food Bank. Give "Virtual Learning" a try to make the pounds add up!
In an effort to help our clients get critical safety equipment in for repair or certification we are now offering a pickup and delivery service. In addition, we are introducing a new security/surveillance service for our clients Call us for more information on either new service.
Recognizing that our first responsibility is to the safety of our STAFF and CUSTOMERS, we have decided to cancel classroom safety training until our provincial health authorities declare that social distancing is no longer necessary to combat the spread of the Covid19 virus. If you do need job critical safety training, Astec Safety is offering alternatives to classroom training. They are: 1.) Our current e-learning suite of safety courses; 2.) Challenge exam for Astec Safety proprietary courses which upon successful completion of exam will result in a one year certificate renewal; 3.) Introduction of Virtual Classroom safety training (instructor led with audio and video links to students via Zoom). For more information on these options, please call Astec Safety - Provost at 780-753-2905 or email us at [email protected].
