Dernierement, nous avons recu un capteur IMU VN-100 de la compagnie VectorNav. L’equipe d’ASUQTR desire remercier VectorNav, l’un de nos partenaires argent pour leur genereuse contribution au projet du sous-marin. Grace a ce capteur il nous sera possible de pousser le projet encore plus loin en doublant la vitesse de nos tests de systeme de controle. Recently, we received an IMU VN-100 sensor from VectorNav. The ASUQTR team would like to thank VectorNav Technologies, one of our silver partners, for their generous contribution to the submarine project. With this sensor it will be possible for us to push the project even further by doubling the capacity of our control system tests.

Ce SoC est le Jetson Xavier AGX, affectueusement surnomme Xavier, qui est concu par NVIDIA. On y retrouve le systeme d’exploitation Linux (L4T), une version personnalisee d’Ubuntu.... Le Xavier est reconnu pour ses capacites d’intelligence artificielle facilement integrable aux projets de robotique. Une de ses forces est sa faible consommation d’electricite pour son enorme pouvoir de calculs. Nous aimerions remercier un de nos plus grand commanditaire, NVIDIA, qui nous fournit gratuitement cet excellent produit en plus de nous fournir un support sans precedent en qualite et disponibilite. The ASUQTR submarine is powered by a System On Chip (SoC), a complete computer in a compact format. That SoC is the Jetson Xavier AGX, Nicknamed Xavier, which is designed by NVIDIA. It includes the Linux operating system (L4T), a customized Ubuntu distribution. The Xavier is known for its artificial intelligence capabilities that can easily be integrated into robotics projects. Le logiciel est Bamboo. Ce logiciel est un outil d’integration en continu pour le developpement logiciel. En pratique, cela signifie qu’a chaque fois qu’un membre de l’equipe contribue du nouveau code au projet, des tests automatises s’assurent que ce nouveau code ne brise aucune partie deja... existante du sous-marin. Ces tests automatises permettent d’assurer la qualite des contributions et de sauver une quantite considerable de temps qui serait autrement investi a faire des tests manuels. Today’s post is an informative post about one of the software in the Atlassian software suite that we use for the submarine. The software is Bamboo. This software is a continuous integration tool for software development. In practice, this means that every time a member contributes new code to the project, automated tests ensure that this new code doesn’t break any already existing part of the submarine. These automated tests help ensure the quality of the contributions and saves a considerable amount of time that would otherwise be invested in manual testing.
