Loved everything about my cuddles and visit with sweet baby Aiden last week. He's grown so much since he was born! He got tuckered out right at the end and I couldn't resist a picture of his snuggly sweetness!

The calm before the storm

This special Mama came all the way from Japan to help her daughter before and after the birth of her sweet Granddaughter. She was overwhelmed when meeting this baby girl for the first time and had us all in tears! Wishing a very Happy Mother's Day to all my At First Sight Birth Photography Mamas! You are all so special and I will never forget the days you became Moms for the first time, or Moms again! Much love is sent to you all today and everyday!

This sweet baby girl stole my heart AGAIN yesterday! I'll be sharing more on Alice's birth story over the coming weeks!

Yesterday at 12:05 p.m., with the assistance of the amazing midwifery team at Sages-Femmes Rouge Valley Midwives and the highly skilled OB and nurses from Ajax Pickering Hospital, this birth warrior brought her 9lb. 8 oz. baby boy into the world. It was overwhelming for everyone in the room and I was honoured to be there to witness and capture his entrance! Welcome sweet baby Aiden, you are so incredibly loved!

At exactly this time in the evening 1 year ago today, after a short but intense labour, one of the sweetest little girls was brought earthside by her incredibly strong Mama. Mia, you are one lucky little girl, blessed with such a loving and beautiful family. Happy 1st birthday, sweet girl!

I can't stress how much I truly feel like a labouring mother can benefit in so very many ways from doula support. Doula's can help create such an informed and empowering birth experience and that is so incredibly important for a mother-to-be and her family. I've had the pleasure of working with and capturing a few Doula's in action and everytime I get that pleasure I am in awe of their support and love for a labouring mother and her family.
