One of our latest jobs we finished in the old Westpark area of Red Deer. The owner had recently inherited the house from his parents. After being lived-in for 20+ years, he decided that it was time to freshen things up a bit. Believe it or not, (and if you're old enough to remember ), it hadn't been painted since the dark ages when they used to use the old, stinky, lead-filled, oil-based paint. Thanks to new advances in paint technology, with a good sand & 2 coats of top-of-...the-line paint by rights it should last another 20+ years! We painted all ceilings with Sherwin Williams CHB Flat White Acrylic Latex Paint. All trim & casing was painted with Cloverdale's Super 2 Semi-Gloss Acrylic Latex Paint in the color Italian Ice. All walls were painted with Cloverdale's Super 2 Eggshell Acrylic Latex Paint also in the color Italian Ice. Thank you for having us in to customize your new-to-you home! Another small staining job that we finished back in August for our regular clients in Bashaw. The door, ceiling & small wood panel wall in a spare bathroom were the only things left unfinished when they moved in. I think they've finally got it all buttoned up ..... 'til they're next project anyway...

I also painted the interior side of our front door a few months back. I could tell when we first moved in that it was left in the factory primer which is why it yellowed so bad. The before picture really doesn't do it any justice to how bad it was lol. Put 2 coats of nice, bright, white semi-gloss on there & it looks like new! Yay! I never get tired of these results! No matter how dirty something is, you can always clean it right up again!

Haven't posted in a while... Here's our last exterior job we finished back in August for some family friends of ours. Quite a big project for the 2 of us but they were adament on having us do it & not caring how long it took. We fought the weather the whole way but at least we got it done before the snow flew! I didn't get the best before & afters but hopefully you get the idea. They were SO HAPPY to check off another dreaded chore on the ol' "House To-Do List!" We used the ...BEST stain that money can buy - Cloverdale's SharkSkin Solid Stain. We also tried out the brand new SharkSkin bonder on some of the flats in hopes it will help it stand up better. Normally, any flat surfaces on wood decks will need maintenance every 2-3 years. Any vertical surfaces can usually get up to 5 years. As many of you already may know, my Moms brother/my Uncle has been missing in the Nordegg area since Sept. 3. He absolutely loved the mountains, became quite the avid hiker & possibly a little too overconfident. However, the backcountry is no joke & anything could of happened. We are absolutely heartbroken that he has still NOT been found despite all of the search parties who have thoroughly searched for him in these past weeks. We have set up a fundraiser in lieu of all of the volunteers who have been a godsend to us in this difficult time & we are asking for donations so we can give back a little piece of what they have given us. Before & afters of a small stairwell we painted on Friday in Blackfalds, AB. Took it from an outdated green to - yep, you guessed it! - another shade of the ever-popular grey! We were in & out in about 3 hours, before our customer even got home from work! She was very pleased & said she will have us back to do her next project! Score!...
