Adventure Time Fishing & Hunting

As 2020 comes to a long awaited close for most. I can confidently look back and say that this year has been alot of growth and change for myself. Honestly probably on of the best years I've had in a long time. After closing down my framing company of 10 years. Our Rockstar aka my fishing buddy. Coming to his old age, as well as our cat coming to her old age. We've had to learn how to adapt and change. With what we have to work with this year. Some days harder then others.... I looked back and prefer to focus on the good things cause there were lots Caught my first sturgeon Caught my first bass Spent alot of time camping and fishing with my family Met and incredible bunch of angler's! Caught my first tiger trout Caught my first brown trout Caught my first white fish Had one of the most successful trout fishing days with my youngest Watched as my kids grow from everything I try to teach them about fishing and just spending time with them. All and all it wasn't such a bad year and I can't wait to take on 2021 with everything I learned this year! Well yesterday me and Flynn (a.k.a flynn.a.gin) set out to try our luck on trout. Not only did Flynn catch the biggest trout of the day I beat my personal best 3 times in a row! Story time! Photo #2 May long weekend we where supposed to be heading to Rock Lake. Which is nw of Hinton. With the rivers blown out from rain fall and spring run off. All the roads where getting washed out by rivers overflowing.... This lake was no exception. Determined to go camping and do some fishing. We traveled south towards the mountains on the forestry trunk road in search of a lake that had available campsites that were first come first serve. After 8 long hours of driving trying to find a spot we came to fair fax Lake. With 2 spots available we snatched it up and set up camp. Fast forward to a couple of days later I get up to go for an early morning fish. I was the only one on the lake for 2 hour's. The early morning steam coming off the lake. The sun peaking it's face over the tree's. Barely a ripple in the water. Was nothing short of picture perfect morning. Photo 1 was the original shot. Learning how to edit out the rod, then cloning water back in. While bringing down some contrast to show all the tree's. Then adding a little bit of fog to make it look more like the rest. This was a fun edit I can't say that I completely nailed it but I feel it didn't turn out to bad at the end of the day. One of my favorite things about pictures and videos is the story they tell. Sometimes just the right picture can tell quite the story. This is usually just a small Creek near my home. Which is connected from a nearby lake to the North Saskatchewan River. This past spring with spring run off and how much rain we had. Turned the little Creek into a raging river. ... The raw destruction of if a river with the beauty of this little valley was pretty cool. The spring colours are just coming threw. Not sure if it makes sense but its almost destructive beauty all in one. So as you can see from the first picture fairly dull. I tried to see if I could pull the colours from the photo to make it pop. Then I fixed the little blown out sun peaking in from the tree's. These photos were shot with my go pro which converted them to jpeg. Unfortunately if it had been a raw image I feel I may have been able to pull more of the true colours out of this picture. So as I find I should be working on some other pending projects. I find myself head first into another. I guess some explanation would be much easier. So I know it's been a bit since I've posted any videos but I assure you have have lots coming up. But in search to better myself as an angler. Broadening my abilities, with video editing, and videography which kinda stems into the photography. My mind has been just absorbing so much information. All of this which will feed in...to a grand plan I hope to achieve. So one of my side projects I've been working on is landscape photography. While I'm out exploring I get to witness & see all these awesome things nature has to offer. I want to share them with you all. So I've been going threw pictures this year and learning how to edit them properly. So here is where you come into play. I'm gonna post hopefully at least one picture a week Of the before and after edit. If you would like to join me then I welcome it! But most of all I welcome the feed back!
