COVID-19 is a health threat, please continue to observe public health measures COVID-19 fatigue has set in and some have relaxed their attention to public health measures, which has given rise to increases in COVID-19 cases. COVID-19 threatens the health of our people, our Elders, our knowledge keepers... Please follow public health measures and if you must gather, please make sure you: o Limit the size of the gathering to comply with local, provincial and territorial public health guidelines; o Maintain physical distancing at all times possible; o Wear a mask; o Avoid close contact (i.e. hugs, kisses or handshakes) o Consider outdoor or virtual options; and o Stay home if you are sick. Please help spread the word and encourage your loved ones to practice safe behaviours Even though the COVID-19 vaccine has arrived, the virus is still a threat Until the COVID-19 vaccine has been given to a large part of the population to ensure we have enough immunity, it is important to keep practicing safe behaviours Safe behaviours: Wash hands, wear a mask, stay 2 meters apart, stay home, avoid gatherings and get tested if you have symptoms

Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Chief Peter Beatty said while it was good for him to also get vaccinated it was important to show it's safe. In his nation, most pe...ople understand that once everyone is vaccinated they can start to get back to a sense of normalcy, he said, but he's heard some concerns. "It's largely due to misinformation on the online sites regarding vaccines. I mean, there's a lot of garbage floating out there in the digital world," Beatty said.

With the recent surge in cases, the SHA & AHA are reminding the public that the primary factor in enabling the health system to meet the demand created by the COVID-19 virus is actions taken by Saskatchewan residents to stop the spread. Please help us by: -Physical distancing; -Washing your hands regularly;... -Limiting your bubble as much as possible; -Abiding by all public health orders; -Wear a mask whenever you are in public indoor settings; -Stay home if you are feeling even the mildest symptoms as an increasing number of cases are residents going to work when sick; -Download the Government of Canada COVID Alert App and use it to protect yourself and your loved ones

COVID-19: Handwashing & wearing a mask are important tools for stopping the spread of germs. Self-monitoring means paying attention to your health and so you can identify signs of sickness. Everyone should be self-monitoring. It is important to know the symptoms of COVID-19 and to act appropriately if you have those symptoms. Self-isolation means staying at home to prevent the spread of infection. If you are sick or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, you must self-isolate. This will help stop the spread of the virus so that other people don't get sick. The Ministry of Health recommends you self-isolate for 14 days.
