Are you working from home these days? Getting more headaches than usual? Starting to feel pain and stiffness in your neck and back Try these 3 tips: 1 use the 20/20 rule: for every 20 minutes spent looking at the screen, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds 2 do these simple exercises a few times a day to reduce tension in your neck and upper back:... - Upper trapezoids contract/relax: shug your shoulder up, hold for 3 sec then relax, take a deep breathe, focus on breathing out - Cat/Cow on your hands and knees: as you exhale look down and arch your back to the ceiling. As you inhale, look up, bring your chest towards the ground. 3 use a tennis ball or foam roller at the base of your skull where it meets your neck to gently massage these muscles For more exercises or tips on how you can optimize your at home workspace book a Virtual Care session with a Registered Physiotherapists Email [email protected], call 647-373-0655 or use the link below https://www.athletescare.com/appointment/request-virtual #virtualcare #physiotherapy #ergonomics #workplace #homeoffice #patientcare

Dear Patients Weve made this difficult, yet well informed decision We have been closely monitoring the public health information related to the development of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) over the last number of days and weeks. It is well documented that transmission of the novel coronavirus is through droplets in breath and contact with infected individuals and surfaces. Toronto Public Health recommendations for social distancing include avoiding shaking hands and non-essenti...al interactions with others. Despite the cleaning and sanitization procedures that we have implemented at Athletes Care and the diligence of our team in maintaining a safe workplace for staff, patients and visitors. The team at Athletes Care believes we must do our part to ensure the well-being of the community. As a result, as of Tuesday March 17, 2020, Athletes Care Sports Medicine Centres will be closed to all patients. We understand that a number of you consider the services we provide as essential services in promoting your physical and mental well-being. We dont take our role in supporting your health lightly. We will remain closed until Sunday March 22,2020 and at that time provide you with an update as the situation evolves. We appreciate your support in our effort to deal with the current situation. Sincerely, Your healthcare team at Athletes Care Sports Medicine Centres
