As we listen and seek to understand, there are moments where we humbly recognize that formerly accepted beliefs and understandings must give way to new information and perspectives; that ways we have thought about things and approaches we have used have not resulted in equity and fairness in the education system. We will continue to move forward with a deep commitment to first seek to understand, and then to be understood, even when opinions differ. And during these conversations and interactions, to refrain from judgement and to commit to maintaining the dignity of all. We hold each other accountable for this commitment to and with the Athlone School Community.
