Athlone Community League

Thank you all those who participated in Athlone Community Leagues inaugural Christmas Display Contest. So many beautiful displays out there, it was a hard decision for our judges. But in the end there can be only 3 and they are...in no particular order... ...12831 134 street, 12928 136 street and 12718 129 street. The list of entrants are still on our website http://www.athlone.ca if anyone wishes to go on a tour to see the lights that were entered. There were some others that were nominated but chose not to participate this year also so there are a lot of beautiful displays in our neighbourhood. Congratulations!

These are the baskets that the top 3 light contest winners win receive. Inside each are items from local companies. There is a game from Gamers Den and a Grinch Christmas Tree from Petals on the Trail. Both of these are located within the Athlone borders on 127 st and 127 ave. There is also a gift card for Giant Tiger and some sweets.

Athlone/Dunvegan Christmas Lights Contest Do you have Christmas lights that stop people in their tracks? A Light display that Santa can see even on the coldest night? Then enter you house for the Christmas lights contest. Prizes will be awarded to the top three ranked as Judged by the Athlone/Dunvegan Community League Board. Very sad, be on the lookout for thefts. Some person decided to steal Christmas decorations from one of our neighbors. If you see anything suspicious please report it and look out for your neighbors.
