FOOD SHORTAGES!! We are currently experiencing food shortages from our supplier and are only allowed limited quantities per week of many food items. We are unsure of why this is happening but believe it is related to COVID-19 causing issues in other provinces where our supplier receives their supplies from. Currently we are experiencing shortages of most Royal Canin diets and Purina Essential Care diets, however there are other diets that are in shortage as well, including s...ome Hill’s diets. We are doing our best to keep what we can on the shelves, but we are extremely limited by the supplier. As well, there are some diets we cannot order any quantity of from our supplier and there are currently no to-be-expected dates. We do not know when we will be able to get those diets again. We currently have a waiting list for food items, and we recommend calling ahead to see if we have items on the shelf or to be added to the waiting list before coming to the clinic. Due to the shortages some of our diets are limited to one item per household per week, to ensure that all kitty’s get the food they need. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your patience. To the individual that keeps requesting we extend our hours - I am sorry but we simply cannot do so at this time. We are all working harder than ever including many hours outside of 'clinic hours'. There is more to be done than can be fit into our days. We are dealing with an extremely high demand for services, numerous urgent/sick fit in patients and still catching up on the back log from the COVID lockdown. We have stopped taking on new clients at this time to ensure we can continue to provide quality veterinary care for our current clients. We are short staffed as are many clinics - we are advertising for hires but so are most other clinics.
