Weekend plans? Unfortunately, no Fiesta this weekend BUT thanks to the absolutely wonderful community we are part of here in The Town of Sussex, NB there’s still lots to do! On Saturday:... Sussex & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Sussex Grand Fiesta The Multicultural Association of Sussex is hosting Diversifest On Sunday morning we are partnering with the Sussex Asphalt Angels to host our own annual Car Show & Shine! Links below for some great, local events !!

As previously stated, it is not possible to host our full event this year. However, we would still like to host our annual Sunday Car Show & Shine in partnership with the Sussex Asphalt Angels! Registration starts at 8:00am in front of the Arena!

We have received several messages and comments lately regarding our event Particularly as we have entered Green Phase here in New Brunswick. We wish to reiterate that, unfortunately, our event will not be happening this year. There are many factors that are still well beyond our control. We assure you, once again, that safety of our pilots, vendors, spectators and community have always been top priority for our planning committee. With the crisp, fresh change in the air today, it has us feeling like Balloons should be filling our skies very soon. We can just feel it in our bones that balloon season should be almost here! We long for the roar of the fans in the morning, the heat from the burners illuminating as the early fog breaks and the sun shines above us in the fields. Unfortunately, our event is not possible this year but we just wanted to let everyone know that we are thinking of you all and ho...pe that this note finds you well and safe. We extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who has made our event possible for the past 34 years. The sponsors, the local landowners,the vendors, the volunteers and crew from near and far as well as our many pilots from around the globe! We are SO looking forward to seeing everyone next year and we can’t wait to bring you the 35th annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta in September 2021. We miss you! We miss each other! With Easter Weekend approaching most people are thinking of colourful eggs but The Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Committee wants you to know that we are thinking ahead to another colourful weekend! As of right now, we are still actively (virtually!)planning our event for September and working to bring you the best possible festival we can for our 35th year in the sky! Save the date for September 11-13,2020. More vendor applications a...nd updates to come during this ever-changing situation the world is in. After much deliberation and consideration, the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta Committee has come to the conclusion that our only option is to suspend our 35th annual Atlantic Balloon Fiesta until 2021. Following direct guidance from the Government of New Brunswick, Town of Sussex and all stakeholders this was truly our only option at this point. We thank all of our sponsors, pilots, vendors and hundreds of volunteers for their hard work and dedication to make the Atlantic Balloon F...iesta "The most colourful, family-friendly, outdoor festival in Atlantic Canada". Note to vendors: we will personally be in contact regarding refunds and/or rescheduling for next year. We thank you for your understanding and assure you that we will bring you the biggest, best festival we possibly can and we look forward to seeing you September 10th to 12th, 2021!
