What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome? Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is caused by a compression of the median nerve at the wrist as it travels through the fibrous tunnel (the carpal tunnel). Main symptoms include pain, numbness and tingling in the thumb, index, and middle finger.
