THE TASTE OF PHO is a film by a Japanese writer-director about a Vietnamese chef living in Poland, but it has universal themes of love, misunderstandingand food. Its one of FIN Stream Ambassador Shannon Brownlees recommendations. Long is a Vietnamese chef living in Warsaw with his mischievous ten-year-old daughter Maja. He works in a restaurant where he is well known for his Pho dish, but when his longtime boss sells the restaurant, Long is forced to adapt. Meanwhile, Maja manages to navigate Polish life better than her father, but she is still deeply affected by the death of her mother.
