Good morning everyone!! Unfortunately, we didn't have enough entries to make Saturdays lapping a go by the cut off........HOWEVER, we will have a lapping/racecar practice on Sunday July 12th, alternating sessions between lapping and racecar test and tune. Brian Partridge has reached out to all registered entries, if you haven't heard from him, please reach out to him. Thanks everyone for your support, and looking forward to seeing you at the track!!!
Hello everyone, sorry for the late notice, but we are going lapping July 11th!!! We are under some restrictions, however, if followed, it allows us to be on track!!! One limit we have, is 50 people permitted on site in total, so we are going to limit our number of lappers. We have limited paddock spaces, and AMP has made 25 paddock spaces on pavement that ensures social distancing, which is a must. There are a few more spaces on gravel we can use, so the last 5 spac...es filled will get gravel, so act quick, and arrive early!!! To register, first you must be a member in good standing (paid up for 2020), to an ARMS member club, AFRA, AMKA, ASCC, BAC, FMC, MMSC, NBSCC, or VMI. Then, you need to renew your licence (if you haven't already for 2020), by filling out the form at www.armsinc.ca under Solosport, Documents, licence renewal. Send form to [email protected] (James Partridge). And payment to [email protected] (Cathy Partridge).....if you need to do a password for payment, send the question and answer with your licence renewal, or to Cathy separately. We are only accepting up to 30 maximum, and we need a minimum number to make it a go as well. Also, ARMS is having race car test and tune the following day, so I'll ask that race prepped cars go that day, to give more folks a shot at being on track! Contact Joel Nelson to book your spot!! There won't be any food available, so please pack accordingly, please be there around 9, lapping starting around 10-12, an hour for lunch break, then from 1-4. Cost is $150/driver. Bring a mask, and some hand sanitizer with you. Any questions contact Brian Partridge, [email protected]
Hello everyone, as I'm sure you've heard we're lapping in July!! July 11th we're lapping!!! More details to follow once we get everything finalized....it will be a first come first served basis....with limited numbers. Before trying to register, Please ensure you have both your club membership (any ARMS affiliated club, AFRA, AMKA, ASCC, BAC, FMC, MMSC, NBSCC, VMI) AND, your 2020 lapping/Time Attack/Race licence from ARMS.... James Partridge issues these, but not until... you have your membership renewed. More details to follow, and we'll see you at the track!!!
Only for the keeners...
Folks, some long awaited news is here! Attendance numbers will be limited, so ensure you don't put off the paperwork to the last minute. Please read through the post from ARMS below.

Here is a fun video of Devon and Mike playing chase at a lapping session a couple of seasons ago. What a great day that was! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxhG0vSf81M&feature=youtu.be
We are sad to hear that Sir Stirling Moss, a racing legend, had passed away this morning.
Here is a hot lap of one of our competitors from a time attack battle back in the summer of 2018. If you've any footage of your hot laps or of your memorable lapping sessions, please share, we'd love to see it! https://www.facebook.com/cbautosportracing/videos/1794714930596934/
There is a myth floating around that Gilles Villeneuve once did a sub-one minute lap at Atlantic Motorsport Park. We got some interesting facts about this from a long time racer, Aaron Pettipas, about lap time records at AMP. Here is what he said: "Contrary to popular belief... Gilles’ mythical sub-1:00 lap... I’m almost certain Howdy Holmes is the fastest man to lap AMP at 1:00.5 in 1979, the last race held here for FA and long after GV had departed for F1... Here’s results... showing GV had the pole in both 1976 and 77, both well above the 1:00 barrier, no race in 78, Holmes on pole in 79 with the de facto lap record... It’s important to note there was a revolutionary change in FA between the 1977 season, which was Gilles’ last in the series, and 1979, a trickle-down development from the higher formulae, ground effects... No one ever went faster than Howdy, thus the 1:00 barrier stands..." Photo courtesy of Kevin Doubleday from George Sheppard's collection circa late 1970s.
