Atomic Pod

Today is November 30. I walked around our neighbourhood this morning taking pictures of the last vestiges of summer/fall before we set out on our next adventure tomorrow. Paul is washing the vehicles before putting them to bed for the winter. I wish we were heading south, but with the border still closed, we’re stuck in Canada indefinitely. Sigh. I miss all of our American and Canadian snowbird friends. We will meet again. Paul surprised me with this tear-jerker gift today. These are all our dogs that brought us so much joy, but have now left us. Honey, our first Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Bubs (Goliath), our second CBR, and Daisy, our wee Shih-Tzu. They were all so special and will forever be missed. #dogsofinstagram #gossbymugs

Sunday Funday. After a pit stop at Chute Lake Lodge, we hopped on the Kettle Valley Railway bed. It is fairly narrow and rough, but any slightly higher vehicle can navigate the fallen rocks and potholes. We stopped for a picnic lunch high above Kelowna. You can see the bridge crossing Okanagan Lake far below. Approximately 10 kms further we came to the first trestle on the railway. Only foot and bicycle traffic are allowed on the trestles. There are more trestles over Myra Canyon if you enter the trail from Kelowna. That’s what we will do next time. #exploreokanagan #beautifulbritishcolumbia @ Kelowna, British Columbia
