This weeks Featured Artist is Liora Blum. Liora started drawing before she learned to write. As a child, she was encouraged to draw, paint and experiment on the walls in her room and furniture. Her art has been her constant support, relief, and passion. Having finished school in Ontario she packed herself up, and moved across the country. Once in Vancouver, she set her sights on Atomic and has been working in Builds for a year and half. When she isn't working, Liora loves wat...ching Anime, drawing, and creating cross stitches based on some of her favorite characters and figuring out how to keep her cats, Mavis and Zera happy. East Van Masks Today's Atomicon feature artist is Kaylie Prefontaine. Kaylie is an illustrator and animator residing in Vancouver. Although her primary tools are pens and pencils, since March, she's shifted to the sewing machine in order to make masks & facial coverings, both providing them free of charge to a...t-risk communities, and selling them through her shop, with each sale donating a mask to someone in need. The shop features East Vancouver themed printed masks, designed in-house and printed locally. Hey everyone I’m Kala!I am a production coordinator at Atomic Ottawa. I worked on The Last Kids on Earth (Book 3 released today on Netflix!!!) I love the organic, chill vibe and working with the team has been the best experiences I could have. Everyone I have worked with have been so understanding, caring and just as pumped and dedicated as I am working on our projects. I can't wait to see what the next year brings, and am so proud of all of us for being so resilient during this crazy COVID experience. I like gaming and roleplaying enough to develop and run my own small online server of an old game called Ultima Online, which we've been running since 2018. I like to paint and I run an etsy shop called TheLavenderandBee where I sell my designs as pins and patches to go along with sustainable hats and clothing. I'm super nerdy and love to talk to people about their interests too! I love how Atomic is helping us grow our other projects through the platform. This has been a really wonderful community to become a part of. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and as stress free as they can be!
