A to Z Construction

Did a little update on some stairs the other day. Existing ones were far too steep and quite dangerous. Built new L-shaped stairs 4’ wide with 4x5 landing and a doggy gate up top.

This is a job I finished up for a client’s property at Prelude Lake a few weeks ago. Finally came back to install the last few boards on the ramp. Was a bit of work fastening all the landings to bedrock and a few sets of stairs to boot! Certainly turned out though. **Post 1 of 2 - see post 2 for videos**

Completed this freestanding deck earlier this summer before the great shortage of pressure treated lumber occurred - other projects have been impacted due to the shortage but will be finished soon! Looking forward to showing what else I’ve been working on.

Here’s a look at a small deck face lift done earlier this summer. This was a fun and fast project and the before and after photos show such a great front porch improvement!

I updated a client's entry way by opening up a wall, building a feature wall and rebuilding their banister. A much needed facelift for this older home. Sure will look nice when the new flooring is in and walls are painted. The banister is built from spruce and rebar spindles for a rustic look. My apologies for the poor before photos I got ahead of myself and starting tearing down the wall before I got the chance.

I helped build this cabin in the fall and came back this past week to seal up the outside. We threw the roof on, did soffit, fascia. Installed windows/patio door, drip caps and J trim. Also installed the blaze king wood stove, ceiling support, stove pipe and all the fixens. Overall a fun few days out at Tibbitt Lake, NWT.
