My heart is overflowing with gratitude for just how exhausted this season has me feeling! There aren’t enough thank you’s for all your love and support Dauphin! The Trocadero Team will now be taking a time out to recover from the season, the intensity of 2020, and to rejuvenate to come back with lots of ne...w, fresh, healthy meals, detox smoothies, and more! Open today December 24th from 8am - 2pm, and then back on Monday January 11th with Mon-Fri 8am - 4pm hours! Oscar’s love of eating the apples off the tree at his grandma and grandpa’s house inspired his grandma to bake this incredible Apple Caramel Bundt Cake! I guess the apple does not fall far from the tree when it comes to baking Thank you to my mama for teaching me to live with passion and lots of flavour! As Victoria’s summer with us comes to an end, she must hand over her responsibilities as Barista to Trista. Victoria is off to Winnipeg to pursue her ambitions in City-living, Independence, and eventually Studying Art. If you enjoyed having Victoria be a part of Trocadero as much as we have, be sure to stop by on her last day tomorrow to say goodbye. All the best Victoria, we will miss you! Story Time! Ever wondered what inspired the name Trocadero? Well... True romantic that I am, I always dreamed of living in France and not only did that happen, but I met the love of my life there too! When we decided to open a Café, we tried all kinds of names until one day I said Why don’t we whip out the Paris Metro Map and look at the stations that have meaning to us and see if any of those names would work? When we saw Trocadero we could not believe we had not thought... of it earlier. I was living in a 28m sq apartment at 25 Rue des Belles Feuilles in this area when I met Ben and later it would become our shared apartment. We walked up the street in these photos toward Metro Trocadero every day experiencing the Eiffel Tower in all its moods - in the rain, at sunrise, at sunset, at night, in the middle of the day, when it flickered its lights, covered in a back drop of clouds... We drove these streets on Ben’s scooter hundreds of times past all the cafés on Place Trocadero. For us, this area symbolizes a lifestyle we want to advocate; take time out of your busy day, enjoy a quality cup of coffee and croissant, watch the people go by, feel inspired! We hope that at Trocadero you feel like the moment is yours and that you leave feeling refreshed! See more

Tea time story time! I came across Cornelia Bean in 2015 during my year of preparation to open Trocadero. Not only did I get everything and so much more than I was looking for in terms of selection and quality of teas, but I also met Cory Krul - passionate president of this gem of a business - who through her generosity of spirit played an instrumental part in Café Trocadero coming together. Cory happily shared helpful information, her incredible knowledge, and contacts; it w...as thanks to her that I discovered Propeller Coffee (our espresso bean)! Cory also trained our initial opening team in her store in Winnipeg a week before we opened in November 2016. If you have tried our teas you will know that they are in a different class! Uniquely blended, pure and delicious - and we only offer a tiny fraction of the vast assortment of carefully crafted teas available at the store on Academy Road! If you have not been, you must go!
