We are still accepting registrations for Pre-ACE/ACE, the deadline is September 10th however please do contact us either through Facebook Messenger or by email at [email protected] to book an appointment for your registration as early as possible so we can have you begin with the first intake on schedule. Also be advised, vaccination cards are mandatory, if you have been vaccinated but don't have the card, you can go here: https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/ You may also bring your health card and we can print out the information at our Access Centre during your registration.

Hi future students, classes begin soon! Wahoo! We have news about the COVID-19 Vaccinations for on Campus access for Northern College. It has been decided that ALL STUDENTS WHO ARE ATTENDING PROGRAMS IN SEPTEMBER 2021 MUST HAVE THEIR COVID-19 VACCINATIONS AND PROOF OF THIS.... Please email us proof of your vaccinations ASAP. Include in your email the follow information: Email ALL THE BELOW INFORMATION to [email protected] Your Name: The Campus/ Access Centre Attending at: The program you are attending: Attach a photo/ email or screen shot of proof of First and Second COVID-19 Vaccination. We will store this information securely on our system to ensure that we have valid proof and so that you can freely access the site without having to show evidence each time. Here are more details from the college website: https://www.northernc.on.ca/covid-19-coronavirus/ Vaccination Policy Northern College is mandating Canadian-approved vaccines for all those who are working, studying, or visiting any of their campuses or work sites/places/offices. This applies to all employees, students, clients, contractors, and visitors, as well as members of the general public who would like to access services from the College. This policy requires that everyone have at least one dose of an approved Canadian vaccine by October 1, 2021 with both doses required to have been administered by November 15, 2021 before visiting campus COVID-19 Vaccination Policy (PDF, 136 KB) https://www.northernc.on.ca//COVID-19-Vaccination-Policy8_ This is being done to protect everyone from Covid-19 and its variants. We have a responsibility to protect the individuals who access our facilities to provide a safe and healthy environment which requires vaccination. There is a formal process to follow for those who are not getting vaccinated for those reasons. Those who are exempted may be required to undergo other procedures.

Greetings my fellow locals! The Northern College Access Centre has been REOPENED (with covid precautions in mind). Pre-ACE and ACE (Academic and Career Entrance) Programs will begin on September 13. The first intake will be from September 13 - November 12 then the registered students will continue with the second intake on November 15 - January 21. Registration should be done as soon as possible so you can begin classes with the first intake.

What is ACE? The Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) program is a high school equivalency program for adult learners. The ACE program offers core and optional courses in communications, mathematics, the sciences, computers, and self-management/self-direction. ACE courses can be used to: *meet college and apprenticeship program specific admission *requirements; *earn the ACE Certificate, a grade 12 equivalency; and... *refresh academic skills. ACE Certificate To receive an ACE Certificate, students are required to complete the communications course, one mathematics course plus any two other courses from the ACE course list. The ACE Certificate is recognized as an OSSD (grade 12) equivalent by Ontario’s community colleges and by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development. ACE courses have been evaluated by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development. The ACE Certificate is also recognized as an OSSD (grade 12) equivalent by a growing number of employers when hiring and promoting staff. We start another intake of ACE Courses in September 2021.
