And the winner of this month's ATVANS 50/50 draw is Monica King from Pictou County. Monica purchased with a group so congratulations to Monica and her group.
Hey folks, it's looking like a great weekend to be out on the trails. Remember we don't ride where SANS groomers are grooming and if anyone is in the Middleton near the Old Locomotive next to the trail take a picture and share it with me. Include your ATV or SXS and yourself. I will have a prize for the best photo as judged by me. Stay safe and have fun. Prize TBA
Heading to $21,000 and still 5 hours remaining to purchase your tickets. Don't miss your chance to support your local club and trail development across Nova Scotia. Good luck everyone and watch the draw live right here on the ATVANS Facebook page Friday at 4 p.m.
Well this is my second attempt to update folks on the lottery and last time (earlier today ) I said we were getting close to $3500 but because it didn't post I can now say we are closing in on $4000. The lottery draw supports clubs and trail development across Nova Scotia. Simply click on the image below, select your club and purchase your tickets. It's easy, safe and supports trails across Nova Scotia.

OHVIF REPORTS NOW Available After a long wait, the Nova Scotia Provincial government just released the OHVIF (Off Highway Vehicle Infrastructure Fund) annual reports for 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. A quick scan of the reports confirms what we already knew, ATVANS member clubs and our partners lead the way in trail development and maintenance and repair across Nova Scotia. The reports also confirm that ATVing is a growing, vibrant sport in all regions of the province. Our 42 ...member clubs across Nova Scotia and their countless volunteers deserve a big ‘Thank You’ for all their hard work. These reports collectively highlight millions of dollars of hard work by club members. For every dollar of grant funding comes no less than one dollar in hard work, raised money through hosting events selling tickets, or seeking generous donations from supportive community minded businesses and individuals. The OHVIF has been a huge success and ATVANS member clubs are a significant contributor to this success. The full reports can be found on our website under the news section or by clicking on the links attached to this notice. Once again, thanks-you and congratulations to the clubs and members of ATVANS for your ongoing efforts. We would also like to thank the Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forest OHV division for their ongoing support and assistance. You can find links to the reports on our website at www.atvans.org under the news section or google OHVIF reports See more

This is currently the end of the trail in this section. Lahave River is working hard with landowners to hopefully one day have a trail connected completely from Bridgewater to New Germany.
More work by great volunteers this time making it easier to get pizza. Can't beat that.
A Sheet Harbour Saturday
Here is Scott Ogilvie in the Honda Talon he won in the 2020 ATVANS lottery. None of the video or images are of Scott driving in a watercourse, what you are seeing is flooded logging roads and trails. Looks like Scott is really enjoying his new Honda. Have a watch.

Sometimes it's hard to see the forest from the trees, but you can always see the trail. Great work guys.
So Teddy has come and Teddy has gone and I have heard of no damage to trails, however, it is important to be aware some trails may not have been checked yet. This coming weekend looks like great weather so enjoy the trails. Remember to check our website for club planned events at www.atvans.org under the events section.
Weather Advisory and Trail Conditions Warning Members are advised to use extreme caution when accessing or traveling on the trails in the coming days due to uncertain conditions resulting from forecasted severe weather. This could include flooding, fallen branches, wash out and even compromised bridges. Club volunteers will do their usual trail inspection after the storm subsides and make any plans required to repair damage. ATVANS will support clubs with funding applications and technical support. Clubs will have access to the small grants funding program subject to qualification and the funding application requirements. You can report trail damage directly to the local club or to Corey Robar at [email protected]
To say it has been a busy week would be an understatement, over the past week we processed 40 new members online and nearly 100 renewals. This is in additions to what our 42 clubs have processed at the clubs. Things are going in the right direction and thank you everyone for your ongoing support.
Please use Caution on rail bed between Springfield and Middleton. South Shore Annapolis Valley Trail Association will have machinery grading the trail Oct 13th-16th ( 8am-5pm)
From time to time people ask me why should I join a club. This my friend is the answer.
