Auditory Pathways 31.12.2020

We are currently closed to help keep all of us healthy. However, for those who may be experiencing sound tolerance distress, we are available for online telehealth consultations and follow-up care. During this Covid-19 closure it is the perfect time to take care of your ears and listen to lots of stories, poems and jokes! Mr. Frog and all the critters are patiently waiting for us to re-open.

Helping a child or teen deal with misophonia or other sound sensitivity disorder must take into account the fact that there is emotional dysregulation at the heart of the issue. A new evidence-based protocol is being implemented here at Auditory Pathways to help children learn HOW to regulate their big emotions! Mightier was created by Neuromotion and was researched through Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. We are teaching children self-regulation through play! The new equipment is scheduled to arrive any day now. It will be exciting to share this with the kids and help them toward better self-regulation of their response to the sounds in their world. <3 https://mightier.com/how-it-works/program
