#travelhistory Israel - Northern Masada Palace - Herod's magnificent winter palace, built on three rock steps overlooking the Judea desert. Influenced by the Hellenistic and Roman architecture, the great herod built two palaces for himself on the mountain and fortified Masada 'i (mdh) between 37-31 BC.... According to Roman historian Josephus, the siege of the Roman army on the table at the end of the "Jewish-Roman war" (73 to 74) ended the collective suicide of the Jewish rebels hiding here. Desperate war on themselves on the mountain - become a symbol of the struggle for freedom. Source: @historyandarcheology #historicplaces #architecture #history #travel

#travelnews As of Nov. 21, air travellers destined for Canada will have to submit their information electronically through ArriveCAN before boarding their flight. This includes travel and contact information, their quarantine plan (unless exempted), and a COVID-19 symptom self-assessment.... Travellers wishing to enter Canada will need to be able to provide their ArriveCAN receipt to a border services officer, who will verify that travellers' information has been scanned beforehand. Travellers who do not provide the required information electronically before boarding their aircraft could be subject to enforcement action, ranging from verbal warnings to a fine of $ 1,000.
