Covid update: You gotta do what you gotta do. In keeping with the request of the Government, and the safety of our guests, we will be closing our inside as of tonight at 12am. The good news is we have take out and you can still join us for safely distanced full service on our patios. We have tents at our ByWard and Preston locations, Barrhaven has a covered patio and the Dubliner has heaters. And if you wanna get really cozy, BYOB (bring your own blanket.) We are also ...currently in the process of setting up UberEats (with booze!) Please note that our hours for all three Hearts have changed from 11am with closing time at 10pm. The Aulde Dubliner will be REOPENING tomorrow morning at 9am (October 3rd). Because of our dedication to the safety measures that Ottawa Public Health implemented, on top of our own sanitation protocols, we’re happy to say that the Covid case with our staff member was an isolated incident. City construction has begun around us, but we still have our mezzanine & front patio open! And of course were open inside as well. Come join us!

It is within our best professional practices, as well as our duty & obligation to inform our guests that there has been a confirmed case of Covid 19 at the Aulde Dubliner & Pour House. We became aware of the employee infected at 10pm on Sept 27, 2020. The incident was immediately reported to Ottawa Public Health and the employee has been placed in self isolation for two weeks. The health and safety of our staff and guests is paramount, therefore we will be closing down the A...ulde Dubliner & Pour House from Monday Sept 28th to Friday October 2nd, in order to sanitize and disinfect the entire premises. It is important to note that all impacted individuals on our tracing list will be contacted directly. Upon reopening we will continue to uphold the highest safety and hygiene standards, using Ottawa Public Health guidelines in addition to our own health and safety requirements for both staff and guests alike. This includes, but is not limited to; * Staff signing off on Covid pre-screening every shift. They are not permitted to work if they do not pass the criteria mandated by Ottawa Public Health as well as our individual standards for a safe work environment. * Frequent sanitization of all surfaces and high-traffic areas. * Staff wearing masks and remaining two metres apart wherever possible. * Ensuring all tables 2 metres apart both inside and out. * Staggered shift & break times to limit interaction amongst staff. The Dub went and launched some new desserts today, made by Montreal-based & family-run bakery Jessica Pastries. But thats not all! They are plated on new beautiful custom Irish plates made by local ceramic artist & Dubliner employee Steffi Acevedo Art. But wait - theres more! Its times like this when you really realize what you miss about your job. The people most of all, the long chats with strangers and regulars alike; makes you really appreciate what great fun it is to work in a pub like ours. Ive been a manager/bartender for 3 years now and it has been a wild ride. Usually the busy summer months are what fund my yearly Europe trips but it looks like the Rona had other plans. Ive had to dust off my Xbox, get back into reading books and I n...ow share a newspaper subscription with my neighbour Madie. Drinks over zoom just arent the same and I couldnt be more excited to get back to the Dub soon (on either side of the wood). It was my 28th birthday yesterday, so that makes just one more thing to add to the list that we will defer to celebrate after quarantine. Cheers everyone!
