We are also eager for the return of the Cornwall Seaway Winds to the Aultsville stage! Such an amazing group of talented musicians with a long history in our community. Every day we anticipate the safe return to live performance, and we do look forward to the time we welcome our friends from the Cornwall Seaway Winds Band back to the theatre.

Exactly one year ago today on March 8, 2020, the curtain came down on the #AultsvilleTheatre stage due to the Covid 19 pandemic. While our once vibrant community theatre is now silent and empty of staff, performers, volunteers, and audiences, we are hard at work behind the scenes setting the stage for your safe return. We are preparing for the day when the curtain rises once again and you can safely join us in the seats and on the stage! #showwillgoon #AultsvilleTheatre #choosecornwall #performingarts

Last week, Aultsville Theatre stood with our fellow Canadian Live Event workers. Today we stand with our Global Live Events Community to raise awareness on the devastating effects that COVID-19 has caused in our industry. We stand as ONE. #wemakeevents #lightupinred #lightuplive #aultsvilletheatre #cornwallontario #liveperformance #liveevents

Aultsville Theatre was honoured and proud to take part in the Light Up Live event on September 22nd presented by Live Event Community. It was great to see the Live Event Community stand together and raise awareness during this difficult time. Check out below some of the members of our industry who participated in Tuesday's event (find us around the 3:22 mark).

Today is the ‘Day of Visibility’ for the Live Event Community. We stand with the members of our industry across Canada that are still in the dark, facing the mental and financial stresses of not knowing when their jobs could return. We want to help raise awareness on behalf of the live event community in hopes that the government recognizes the live event industry has been devastated by the effects of COVID-19. Many in this industry are gig or freelance workers who do not hav...e any protections through labour contracts or employment protections. There are over a million Canadians working in the live performance industry that are directly impacted as stages across the country mostly remain dark. The live performance industry was one of the first to close, and will be one of the last to open. Tonight we stand in support of our industry by lighting up in red and remembering the power of live performance and the amazing impact it has on our lives. #LightUpLive #EclaironsLesScenes #WeBuildEntertainment #AultsvilleTheatre #CornwallON #CornwallTourism #TourismSDG #LivePerformace
