In honour of #WomensEntrepreneurshipDay, meet Olivia Poole, the Ojibwe woman who invented the jolly jumper while living in Ontario in 1910, after studying music at Brandon College (now known as Brandon University). In the 1950s, Poole patented her invention and the jolly jumper went into mass production, making her one of the first Indigenous women in Canada to patent and profit from an invention.
