We have been proud to support the Aurora Food Pantry in 2020!

Happy New Year! While most of us are happy to be putting 2020 behind us, the Optimist Club of Aurora is thankful for what we did accomplish in 2020. We provided scholarships for Aurora high school students; our mobile kitchen received an update - complete with added safety features (plexiglass) and PPE station; we provided funding to continue the Healthy Snacks program at elementary schools; we provided numerous donations to the Aurora Food Pantry; collected toys and gift cards for the Holiday Hero’s campaign and initiated a new club fundraiser - selling fruitcakes! We sold a whopping 230 cakes. Special thanks again to our retail partners Barrons and Aurora's Kitchen Accents! We look forward to the day when we can be back out in the community, but until then stay well everyone and our very best for a wonderful 2021!

Delicious fruitcakes are still available through curb side pickup at our retail partners - Kitchen Accents in the Aurora Shopping Centre on Yonge Street and Barron’s Warehouse on Engelhard Drive. Thank to to those who have purchased. All proceeds go to supporting youth in Aurora.

The fruitcakes have been flying off the shelf, but don’t despair, we have received another shipment just in time for you to pick up for a gift or enjoy yourself. The cakes are $25 and proceeds go to supporting the youth in Aurora. Pick yours up at one of our retail partners - Barron’s Warehouse at 40 Engelhard Drive or Kitchen Accents in the Aurora Shopping Centre on Yonge Street AND this Saturday only from 12-3:30 at the Aurora Legion, 105 Industrial Pkwy N. If you love fruitcake, we've got you covered. Not sure what to buy that person on your list who has everything - problem solved. The Optimist Club of Aurora is excited to announce a special fundraiser for the holidays. We will be selling fruitcakes through our retail partners - Aurora's Kitchen Accents located in the Aurora Shopping Centre on Yonge Street and Barron's Warehouse located at 40 Engelhard Drive. We are selling a variety of cakes - either light or dark, and with or without nuts. Each cake is $25.00, with the proceeds going to supporting the youth of Aurora. Please drop into one of these locations and pick yours up soon - they won't last long. Thank you for your support!

Today, as we celebrate World Kindness Day, let's be especially kind - it's been a tough year for everyone and we could all use a little extra kindness
