Today we held the first of two Holiday Stretch & Burn classes over Zoom, and had over 50 members join Brandie for a great workout!! It was so great to see so many smiles!! thanks to all who attended!

Today we hosted a virtual "Christmas Together" event over Zoom! A big thank you to Lianne Harris, who presented an "Christmas Stories & Symbols" slide show and Jesse LeGallais who played us some Christmas Classic tunes!! A Huge thank you to Ann and the special events team for putting this event together

Unfortunately the Centre is Closed to due to York region entering into the Grey Zone. That didn't stop our amazing Volunteers from braving the cold day, safely handing out Holiday Gift Bags filled with goodies and song sheets in preparation of our "Christmas Together" virtual event on Friday! Thank you!!

York region is entering the grey lockdown zone on Monday. We do not know how long the Aurora Seniors Centre, and other Town of Aurora facilities will be closed. We made the decision that all Winter 2021 Fitness Programs will be delivered virtually using Zoom. Programs previously listed as onsite will now be virtual. Please note that Chair Stretch #20420 and pFIT #20432 are cancelled. We hope they will return, in person, for the Spring session.... A decision on our art classes (Acrylics for Beginners & Intermediates and Drawing Fundamentals), will be made at a later date. Winter 2021 program registration begins Monday December 14 (tomorrow). Please note that the programs locations may not be immediately changed in the system. Our Customer Service Team is working hard to get all the changes complete. The OACAO is hosting a free webinar on Flu Awareness and Prevention!

We have an amazing team of instructors who have helped us bring our fitness classes virtual through Zoom. It is hard to catch a picture of them, they are always moving! Thank you to our instructors and participants for giving this a try. It looks like fun!

This afternoon the Premier of Ontario announced that York Region will fall back into a modified stage 2, which will affect some programming at the Aurora Seniors Centre (see list below) for a minimum of 28 days. Some programs will move to the Zoom video conferencing platform. Tonight we were excited for our first Tuesday Night Movie in some time at the Centre! It was great to see several members! Tonight's film is "Little Women" starring Saoirse Ronan.
