Aurora Soccer Club Patio Opening Dear Aurora Soccer Club Members, The board of the ASC would like to extend an invitation to our playing and social members to attend a meet and greet at Highland Park this Friday, June 19th, between 6 pm and 9 pm.... As our district progressively relaxes the lockdown, and with the weather becoming more accommodating, along with our playing members starting to polish their boots, we felt that it is a good time to open the doors safely to give us all the chance to say hello and respect the situation that we are all dealing with. This will be a season, like none we have ever experienced before. That said, we are all friends and thrive on our social interaction, so we ask that you consider the opening as an opportunity to respect the clubs, towns, districts, provincial and national protocols, while enjoying the company of your fellow club members and exercising the necessary and required Social Distancing. We ask you all to come prepared to identify yourselves with an official ID and respect the fact that we need to be able to provide this information to health officials for contact tracing should the need arise. Clubhouse: All our staff will be wearing PPE equipment and access to the clubhouse is limited to washrooms only. A bar service will be offered on the patio and extended patio on the field immediately to the south of the clubhouse. No access to the remainder of the building is permitted. All entrants are required to check-in and check-out upon departure. No exceptions. Beverages will be served in disposable utensils. The clubhouse patio is the perfect place to enjoy a cold one, have a BBQ and socialize with your fellow soccer enthusiasts and long-lost friends. We will operate the BBQ and would welcome any contributions to COVID relief, as the club wishes to continue with its lifelong mandate to support the community at large. Return to Play Survey An opportunity for the #soccer community to connect back on the pitch. The board of the Aurora Soccer Club would appreciate your input as we prepare for the Potential Prospect of returning to some level of play later in the #summer. As you are all aware, we remain on lock-down, and all sanctioned play is canceled at least until the end of June. ... The board continues to track and monitor regulations as issued by Health Canada, the Province, the Municipality, and the governing soccer bodies. Your health and the health of our communities remains our top priority. With that said, the board of the ASC has been planning several scenarios with a view that once the lock-down is lifted and we understand the restrictions and/ or limitations that will be applied by the respective governing bodies.
