Presenting: HeWe’s Guide to Anxiety! Exam season is here, so we would like to acknowledge that anxiety is likely going to be more prevalent than ever! As a result, we are sharing some anxiety relieving strategies to help you breeze through the finals. Keep in mind that your scores on these exams do not define who you are as a person; therefore, do not sabotage your mental health! In fact, your wellbeing may actually help you with your academics because getting a good night’...s sleep and maintaining a healthy work-life boundary are successful studying strategies. To preserve mental wellness, you can reduce stress and anxiety before taking your finals by getting started on studying early, setting an efficient routine, learning relaxation techniques, and doing some exercises. Please remember to take good care of yourselves and good luck on your exams! With finals creeping in and winter beginning to settle join the AUS Health and Wellness committee for a Coffee Chat! There will be two sessions being held, where we will talk about mental health and all the stress of academics and especially the pandemic. The conversation will be directed by a series of self-reflective psychological questions and prompts; ways to self-improve; and tips for self-care! This is also an opportunity for us to get to know you, and for you ...to get to know each other! Let’s start building a platform to chat. While the event is a Coffee Chat, everyone is welcome to bring whatever hot beverage (e.g., tea, hot chocolate, etc.) or snack of choice The two sessions will be held THIS Monday, November 30th, one at 11 am and another at 6 pm.
