Hey everyone! Long time but here we are and I am looking to plan another event! Perhaps in the Fall??

Plans for late Winter / Spring AusCon in progress!

Haru and Misaki did some filming at The Cosplay Socialite (AusCon) today! Video should be up within the next couple weeks (just gotta find that perfect take!) ^u^ In between filming, we found Emilia-tan (Mist Cosplay) and Rem-rin (Merinoe)!

We had a wonderful spontaneous and last minute casual studio shoot day. It was lots of fun and it was glad to see people come out and have fun! Here are some photos shot by Austin Jeng Photography from our day in Gastown.... Photography isn't always 100% serious and nor should modeling. The love for our passion stems from our enjoyment and what we are willing to put up for it. One step at a time. Don't fret. Be happy!

We are co-hosting a spontaneous event in Downtown Vancouver tomorrow! Austin Jeng Photography and Dale L Photography will be there as confirmed photographers! Don't have a cosplay planned? No worries! Come in a casual outfit!

I want to say thank you so much everyone for all your support. What started as an idea and a passion to grow our community turned into an amazing and eventful day at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre . Thank you to everyone that helped support the idea, helped me with staging and setup. To all the people who came out, supported and had a total blast at The Cosplay Socialite event! I really don't know where to begin or what to say. All the kind words and photos all... of you posted really warmed my heart and made it all worth it. Our community is always growing and fluctuating. It's hard to keep up with the day to day aspects of our lives. I wanted to give people a reason to go out and meet people and end the day with photos that they can have fun. See more

The Cosplay Socialite was a one-day event organized to bring together cosplayers, photographers, and friends in a social setting where we could meet others in o...ur community and hang out with friendly faces. Without panels and programs, the event was relaxed and geared towards building friendships and taking some photos together. It was really good seeing friends, meeting lovely new faces, and just having fun. Thanks Austin for organizing! See more

The inaugural AUSCON 2017 hosted by Austin himself! It was a great experience to help him plan and bring this idea to life, and to have met so many awesome peop...le throughout the day. We spent the day chatting, HI GENKI, and shooting! Are you excited to meet other cosplayers, photographers and totes of the community? Bring your coscards and business cards and exchange them among friends and people one hasn't met! Come to The Cosplay Socialite!

Here are some photos of the Nikkei Center! Cozy lobby where. Most of us will be. During the weekend, the small museum gallery will be open and they have a quai...nt little used book store upstairs. Attendees can roam about and take photos, selfies and explore the culture displays they have there as well when not shooting photos! Photographers and cosplayers have access to the hallways and the second floor hallways for photos too! I am looking to get the dressing rooms for the dojo opened so people can change their costumes with a bit more ease. Admission is only $10 and at the moment so only be cash only. Wristbands will be provided upon admission.

A little update of the first AusCon event! A little over a month to go!

AusCon is a day out of ones schedule to come to a open photoshoot session! Completely driven by the community support. We hope to have cosplayers and photographers to come out and enjoy their day meeting people and taking photos :).

Thank you so much for the outreach and support! Crazy to see the number jump over night. This event is for everyone. If you're new to cosplay; come on out and check out what people are working on, feel free to ask for tips and tricks.... We are all here to grow our community and support each other! Without you, there wouldn't be events being made for all the fans and otakus out there! Don't fret over reusing a cosplay. Bring it!
