The Austin Skating board is considering changing skate lesson times for next year to accommodate more working parents. Here are the options we are considering. 1. Make pucks and power first from 4-5 and follow with the younger classes after ending the day around 6 2. Keep the same order but move everything back an hour to start at 5 and end at 7... 3. Keep it the same as it was this year. Please put your favourite option in the comments
Thank you everyone who came today for the Family Fun Day, we couldn’t do it without the support of the community. There will be pictures to come but if you have any you are willing to share please post them to this page.
The penny parade ticket sheets will be priced at 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. There are prizes for all ages
Today we are raffling off a Manitoba 150 package containing a hoodie, shirt, hat, travel coffee mug and 2 tickets for the 'Our Manitoba' play bring held in June at the Austin Fairgrounds. All funds from raffle will be donated towards an initiative to have wheelchair access installed into our rink. Come to Family Fun Night tonight to purchase your raffle tickets!
Family Fun Night is still on for Saturday, March 14 at the Austin Community Centre. 3:30 -9pm Come out for fun, food and festivities! **Please be aware to use proper care to wash hands, cover when coughing/sneezing and refrain from attending event if you are not feeling well.

The start of skating lessons is almost upon us, starting day is this Wednesday January 8. Lesson times are as follows Learn to skate 4-4:30 Canskate 4:30-5:15 Figure skate 4-4:45 Pucks and power 5:15 -6:15
The start of skating season is only a week and a half away, if you have not registered your child and would still like to, please contact Jessica so you can be added to the list for January 8
This Season's times and prices are as follows: Mondays and Wednesdays, start date to be determined when ice is ready. Learn to Skate: 4:00-4:30 ($40.00) ... Can Skate L1 & L2: 4:30-5:15 ($55.00) Basic Figure Skate:4:00-4:45 ($60.00) Pucks and Power: 5:15-6:15 ($70.00) *Changes to our program are: First and second year Can Skate children will be split into 2 levels. Pucks and Power consists of Mondays as Power skate and Wednesdays as an age 6+ rec hockey, learning skills and rules of the game. All families asked to purchase a $30 raffle book upon registration. The board would welcome new members to keep this community event running!
