It’s the start of a new day and we are about to enter a new week. Some of us are going back to work tomorrow, some of us are not currently employed due to the state of the world right now. Theodore Hesburgh said the very essence of leadership is that you have a vision. It’s got to be a vision you can articulate clearly and forcefully on every occasion. You can’t blow an uncertain trumpet, meaning you can’t lead with someone else’s dream or vision. Some examples of this: a person with a vision talks little but does much. a visionary person does little but talks much. ... a person with vision finds strength from inner convictions. a visionary person finds strength from outward conditions. This isn’t easy work, if It was, everyone would do It. However, it’s important work, and when we look around at leaders and people in our lives, whether that’s work or personal, we see so many people lacking in this area. They want to please others. They want to fit in or be liked so they will change their values, beliefs, personality, to be like them. They will be inauthentic to themselves, for the sake of others. We all have a vision for what life should look like, personally and professionally, but what are YOU doing to achieve that life? What internal work are you doing to create abundance? So many of us function on auto pilot. It seems to work just fine, until you slow down, and things come crashing down. Society makes us feel as though we have to go, go, go, and that is what success and accomplishment look like. However, when you are more intentional in what you are doing, you put more effort in to the tasks that ARE important, you are actually more productive.
